As a young adult she attempts to hunt Pumba but gets into a fight with another lion who introduces himself as Simba. After being alone with him she falls in love with him but becomes angry when he refuses to come back to pride rock. She later finds out from Rafiki that he returned back to pride rock. She is shocked when Scar forces Simba to admit his guilt. She is one of the first lionesses to join the battle when Scar reveals himself as the true murderer of Mufasa. When the hyenas attack she and the rest of the pride alongside Timon,Pumba and Rafiki to avenge Mufasa. When Simba emerges victorious from the fight she comes forward to embrace him before he takes his place as king. Nala watches alongside Simba as Rafiki presents the next in line to the gathered animals. [break][break]

Nala started off as a cub where she was friends with Simba. She went with him to the elephant graveyard when he was tricked by Scar. She found out from Zazu that she was going to be betrothed to Simba at a young age by their parents. They were both disgusted and scared by that. While they were at the elephant graveyard they were approached by Scar’s hyena minions. The hyena minions were scared off by Mufasa. Later that evening when Scar tells them of Mufasa’s and Simba’s death she is mourning the loss with the other lionesses.
