Captain Jack Sparrow

has definitely had an interesting life. He captained many ships in his pirating career, including but not limited to the HMS Interceptor, the Dying Gull, Queen Anne’s Revenge, and of course, the Wicked Wench, later renamed the Black Pearl. At one point, he tried to take the Pearl - a ship with a charred hull that had gone down in flames some time prior - from Hector Barbossa, his mutinous former first mate. He was supposed to essentially transport 100 slaves plummet to their death into the sea, but instead freed them, though his ship went down in flames.betraying the East Indian Trading Company. In return for the promise that the debt would one day be fulfilled, Jack made a debt with Davy Jones, resurrecting his ship and earning it the name of the Black Pearl.[break][break]

Jack is the son of a well-known pirate captain by the name of Edward Teague, and was born on a pirate ship in the middle of a typhoon. Back in his teenage years, before he’d earned the title of Captain , he was simply a stowaway with a lust for adventure. The first boat he sailed on was called the Barnacle, which had set course to find the elusive and legendary Sword of Cortés. He earned the name Jack Sparrow by trapping a notorious Spanish pirate hunter by the name of Capitán Armando Salazar in the Devil's Triangle. Years later, he took up employment with the East Indian Trading company. Five years later, he was rewarded with a ship called the Wicked Wench, previously owned by Cutler Beckett, the East Indian Trading Company’s Director for West Africa.After some time, Jack became one of nine Pirate Lords, and ruled the Caribbean Sea.Through the years, jack had many interesting adventures, gaining valuable items many times throughout. Before he lost the Pearl in the aforementioned mutiny, Jack had captained it for nearly two years before Barbossa’s betrayal. Ironic, considering that he betrayed someone in the past.[break][break]

A decade later, aided by a young blacksmith named Will Turner and the daughter of Governor Weatherby Swann, Elizabeth, Jack managed to regain possession of the Pearl after fighting and slaying a cursed Barbossa. The trio then set off after the Dead Man's Chest, so that jack could finally settle his debt with Davy Jones, though this ended in Jack being taken to Davy Jones' Locker by the fearsome Kraken. He managed to escape with the help of his crew, which was now captained by a renewed Hector Barbossa, and joined with the Brethren Court in the war against Lord Cutler Beckett, who had seized control of both Davy Jones and his ship, the Flying Dutchman.[break][break]

Later, Jack would sail with the notorious Blackbeard and his beautiful daughter, Angelica, on a quest to find the mystical Fountain of Youth, while being forced aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge. After Salazar and his crew escaped from the Devil’s Triangle, with him bent on killing every pirate he could find, Jack got the notion to find the Trident of Poseidon in the hopes of changing his luck. On this particular journey, he was helped by Jack would be helped on his journey by Will Turner’s son, Henry, who only wanted to free his father, as well as a young woman named Carina Smyth.
